Interparfums, Inc. will launch its first Off-White perfumes in 2027, CEO and chairman Jean Madar confirmed on Thursday's earnings call covering the company's Q3 2026 results. The same year will carry the debut fragrance collection for Longchamp and new products for the Annick Goutal house, giving the fragrance licensee three brand arcs converging on a single calendar year.
The commercial logic behind the slate came in a single sentence from Madar. "We believe that Longchamp has the potential to become our next $100 million brand, and Off-White represents another step for us into the high-end category," he said on the call.
That figure anchors the strategy. A $100 million brand would place Longchamp among Interparfums' top revenue generators, and the statement signals the company intends to resource the leather-goods house's fragrance rollout accordingly. Off-White, meanwhile, is positioned differently: not a volume play but an entry ticket deeper into high-end territory, where Madar is clearly steering the portfolio.
What does the Off-White license mean in practice?
Off-White is not an untested fragrance property. Founded in 2012 by Virgil Abloh, the streetwear label released its first fragrance collection in 2022, developed under Abloh's creative direction before his death in late 2021. The line existed; the brand continuity around it did not.
Since Abloh's passing, Off-White has passed through multiple owners, including LVMH and New Guards Group. Bluestar Alliance, the firm whose portfolio includes mall brands such as Bebe and Limited Too, purchased Off-White in 2024. Creative continuity has frayed as well: Ib Kamara, who succeeded Abloh as creative director, departed the brand in September.
For Interparfums, that history cuts two ways. The 2027 launch inherits a fragrance-consuming audience that already met the brand at the beauty counter in 2022, which lowers the awareness-building cost. It also inherits a label whose identity has been in flux for three years, with no founding creative figure and an owner whose core portfolio sits in a different retail tier.
The wager, in effect, is that a licensee known for disciplined brand management can stabilize a property that its own owners have struggled to define. Madar's framing of Off-White as a step into the high-end category suggests the 2027 perfumes will be priced and positioned above the mass-prestige launches the company has run for its broader portfolio.
Three launches, one compressed timeline
The 2027 calendar now stacks three distinct workstreams. Longchamp requires a debut collection built from zero — fragrance direction, bottle architecture, naming, retail strategy — against the expectation of a future $100 million brand. Off-White requires a relaunch that acknowledges a prior collection while re-anchoring the brand's identity under new ownership. Annick Goutal requires new products that extend an established heritage house without diluting it.
Each stream carries different development timelines and different compliance and sourcing workloads. A debut collection for Longchamp means creating an entire olfactory and visual language; an extension for Goutal means working within one already fixed. The Off-White brief sits between the two and adds a reputational variable the others do not carry.
For buyers and retail partners, the relevant planning window starts now. Fragrance development cycles typically run 18 to 24 months from brief to shelf, which places concept lock and component sourcing for all three 2027 launches firmly in 2025-2026. Madar's public commitment to the date on an earnings call makes the 2027 slate a hard milestone rather than a floating intention.
The next data point to watch is Interparfums' guidance update: whether the company attaches revenue expectations or distribution plans to the Off-White and Longchamp launches in its coming quarterly filings.
