More than 1,000 medical aesthetics professionals, practitioners and distribution representatives visited SID MEDICOS’s stand at AMWC Latin America 2026, held in Medellín, Colombia, from 29–31 October.

The three-day congress marked the South Korean beauty and aesthetics company’s third industry event in Latin America in 2026, following FACE & BODY 2026 in Guadalajara, Mexico, in April and Dermacosmética 2026 in Mexico City in October.

At its stand, SID MEDICOS showcased products from its flagship LemonBottle brand. The company described the congress as strengthening its commercial relationships across Latin America, while the portfolio remains concentrated on professional body contouring and skincare products.

The stand traffic covered three constituencies named by SID MEDICOS: medical aesthetics professionals, practitioners and distribution representatives. That mix places potential users of the professional range in the same room as channel partners, although the company did not break down the more than 1,000 visitors by group or report an order value.

A portfolio moving beyond the clinic

The company also outlined plans to enter post-treatment care and daily-use products. That step would extend LemonBottle beyond professional treatments and into consumers’ everyday routines, giving distributors a proposed consumer proposition in addition to the existing professional range.

For product formulators and clinic operators, the immediate implication is a portfolio under construction rather than a completed consumer launch. SID MEDICOS identified the intended categories, but the Medellín announcement set out no formulation, concentration, launch date or regulatory timetable for the new lines.

What changes for regional buyers?

SID MEDICOS’s discussions with representatives from Colombia and other Latin American markets covered local demand, distribution channels, professional education and marketing support. The company also discussed opportunities for longer-term partnerships.

Those discussions did not yield an announced distributor appointment or country launch schedule. For procurement teams, the immediate output is therefore a partner and market assessment, not a newly announced supply route for a specified LemonBottle line.

A company representative said: “Following our activities in Mexico, our participation in Colombia gave us another opportunity to hear directly from industry professionals across Latin America and better understand the needs of individual markets.”

The reference to Mexico places Medellín after the Guadalajara and Mexico City events in SID MEDICOS’s regional program. It also explains why the company is treating the congress as market intelligence: the direct conversations are intended to distinguish conditions among national markets rather than assume one regional formula.

After Medellín, SID MEDICOS plans to assess market conditions and potential partners in individual countries, taking local distribution structures and regulatory requirements into account. The company says it will maintain discussions with prospective local partners to develop approaches suited to each market.

The country-by-country filter gives prospective regional contacts a defined role. SID MEDICOS is seeking local knowledge on demand and channel structure while keeping professional education and marketing support within the partnership discussion. In practice, those negotiations will determine how a distributor is briefed and supported. The Medellín announcement specified neither a service package nor a territory.

Neither stand traffic nor event participation translates automatically into orders, and SID MEDICOS disclosed no sales, order-book or distributor-volume figure from Medellín. The measurable outcome reported after the congress was wider direct engagement with regional professionals and continued talks with prospective local partners.

From event presence to market selection

The company’s broader position may support those discussions. SID MEDICOS develops products for the global beauty and aesthetics sector under the vision “Technology for Healthy Beauty.” LemonBottle has distribution in more than 86 countries.

In 2024, the South Korean company received the US$20m Export Tower Award in South Korea in recognition of its export performance. The award provides export context for the regional push, but the company has not yet named the Latin American partners or markets it will prioritize.

The next concrete data points are the results of those country-level partner assessments, any distributor appointments and a disclosed timetable for the post-treatment and daily-use categories. Until then, Medellín records more than 1,000 stand visits and active partner discussions, not a completed regional rollout.
