Better World Fragrance House has launched Dosayado, Drake’s third unisex fragrance, to celebrate the Canadian rapper’s 40th birthday.

The launch joins the house with Drake’s Canadian lifestyle brand, record label and entertainment group, October’s Very Own (OVO). Better World Fragrance House said: “Introducing Dosayado, the first-ever fragrance collaboration between Better World Fragrance House and October’s Very Own.”

The company also said: “Inspired by the music, experiences and cultural influences that have shaped Drake’s journey, Dosayado reflects his evolving creative vision through fragrance.”

Its full statement added: “Created in collaboration with [Givaudan Senior Perfumer] Michael Carby, Drake’s long-time perfumer, the fragrance builds on a creative partnership and shared olfactive language, resulting in a composition that feels both familiar and entirely new.”

What does Dosayado smell like?

Dosayado is a citrus aromatic fragrance. Its opening combines passion fruit white wine spritz, cannabis and clary sage. The middle places petitgrain, black pepper and rose over that brighter head. The base uses cognac, white cedarwood and roasted tonka.

For formulators and fragrance buyers, that sequence matters because it defines a three-part design rather than a reliance on one hero material. Citrus and fruit establish the opening; petitgrain, pepper and rose add aromatic, spicy and floral structure; cognac, cedarwood and roasted tonka carry the woody, roasted base.

The announcement presents a note pyramid, not an INCI list. It gives no individual raw materials, concentrations, fragrance allergens or formula ratios. The cannabis note therefore cannot be read as proof of a particular botanical extract or ingredient source. It is simply the published olfactory description.

The practical takeaway is clear: Dosayado is a structured citrus aromatic, not a single-note concept.

What changed in the bottle?

Better World Fragrance House has reimagined its signature spherical bottle entirely in glass, including the sculptural stand, and finished the result in translucent burgundy. The material treatment extends across the bottle and stand rather than applying only to an outer decorative element.

That specification gives packaging teams a defined material and visual treatment, but little else. The announcement does not state bottle dimensions, fill volume, closure design, decoration method, country of manufacture, minimum order quantities, unit cost or packaging specifications for secondary retail packs.

For procurement, the most supportable conclusion is that Dosayado combines a full-glass presentation with the house’s established spherical form. Any assumption about recyclability, glass weight, breakage risk or production cost would require data the release does not provide.

In short, Dosayado preserves the signature silhouette while changing the bottle material and colour treatment.

How does it fit Drake’s fragrance portfolio?

Drake unveiled his first-ever eau de parfum, Summer Mink, in 2025. Summer Mink is a rich amber woody composition, also created through Drake’s brand in collaboration with senior perfumer Carby. The disclosed creative relationship spans the two releases named in the announcement and two contrasting olfactive directions.

Summer Mink relies on an amber woody register, while Dosayado moves through citrus, spice, floral and woody notes. The repeated use of Carby provides creative continuity even as the compositions diverge. It also positions fragrance performance, rather than packaging alone, as a recurring element of Drake’s branded offering.

The labels need care. The announcement calls Dosayado Drake’s third unisex fragrance and identifies Summer Mink as his first eau de parfum. It does not state Dosayado’s fragrance concentration, so the two descriptions cannot be treated as equivalent product classifications without further documentation.

The portfolio signal is straightforward: one launch anchors Drake’s range in amber woods, while another delivers a citrus aromatic direction.

What do formulators and buyers still need?

Regulatory and commercial files are not part of this announcement. Formulators still need the full formula, concentrations, allergen information, safety documentation, IFRA conformity information and manufacturing specifications. The release supplies none of those technical records.

Procurement teams also lack launch dates beyond the birthday framing, prices, pack sizes, sales markets, distribution arrangements and order terms. The source names Carby as a Givaudan senior perfumer, but it does not identify the manufacturer, production site or manufacturing contract. Naming a perfumer’s employer is not the same as naming a production supplier.

Retail buyers therefore face a familiar launch gap. The notes, bottle treatment, partner and perfumer support positioning and assortment planning, but they do not yet support specification comparison, landed-cost work or compliance sign-off. Nor do they establish whether the cannabis note derives from a specific material or merely an accord.

The next decisive data points will be the technical and safety dossier, concentration, launch markets, pricing and availability. Until those arrive, Dosayado is a well-described creative launch, not a procurement-ready specification.
