Composition
- Group sales rose 11% nominally to €5.7bn in Q3; organic growth was 6.5%.
- Consumer brands organic sales grew 4.8%, with pricing of 3.2% and volume growth of 1.6%.
- Full-year organic growth guidance lifted to 3-4%, from 1.5-3.5% previously.
- Acquisitions including Olaplex and Not Your Mother's expected to add a low-single-digit impact.

Henkel has raised its full-year guidance after organic sales grew 6.5% in the third quarter, with group sales up 11% nominally to €5.7bn against the same period last year.
The upgrade is the headline. The German consumer goods giant now expects organic sales growth of 3% to 4% for the 2026 financial year, up from its previous range of 1.5% to 3.5%. For the consumer brands business alone, home to Schwarzkopf and got2b, the forecast climbs to 1.5% to 2.5%, from 0.5% to 2.5% previously.
Where the growth came from
All regions and both business areas contributed, led by the adhesives division. For formulators and brand managers, the more relevant number sits in the consumer division: organic sales grew 4.8%, driven by hair care alongside laundry and home care.
The price-volume split matters for anyone tracking margin strategy across beauty shelves. Henkel reported "clearly positive price development of 3.2% and good volume growth of 1.6%" in the consumer business, according to its statement on preliminary quarterly results.
That combination — pricing above volume — suggests demand held firm while the company pushed through increases. Rivals watching the German group now have a benchmark: consumers absorbed a 3.2% price move in personal care and adjacent categories without tipping volumes negative.
What the acquisitions add
The guidance upgrade also folds in M&A. Henkel counts its recent acquisitions, which include the hair care brands Olaplex and Not Your Mother's, as a positive impact in the low-single-digit range for the year.
For the professional treatment channel, the Olaplex name carries weight. Its inclusion in Henkel's portfolio arithmetic signals that bond-building hair care is now expected to contribute measurably to a European conglomerate's top line, not merely to salon menus. Procurement teams at competing suppliers will note that the integration is assumed to add, not dilute, within the current fiscal year.
What management said
CEO Carsten Knobel framed the quarter as proof of execution rather than market tailwind. "Our strong business performance in the third quarter once again underscores the consistent execution of our strategy for purposeful growth. In a market environment that remains challenging, we delivered very strong organic sales growth," he said in the statement.
Knobel also pointed to the dealmaking. "At the same time, we further strengthened our portfolio through strategically attractive acquisitions, creating additional growth opportunities across both business units," he said, adding: "By updating our 2026 guidance, we reaffirm our clear commitment to sustainable, profitable growth."
What to watch next
The figures released are preliminary, which means the confirmed Q3 results and any updated margin detail arrive at Henkel's full quarterly reporting. That is the next data point worth tracking: whether the 3.2% pricing in consumer brands holds through the fourth quarter, and whether Olaplex and Not Your Mother's begin to appear as separately quantified contributors.
