POV Beauty, the skin care brand co-founded by influencer Mikayla Nogueira and Estée Lauder Companies veteran Ani Hadjinian, has closed a US$15m Series A round led by Silas Capital. The round also drew participation from growth equity firm RÉDO Capital and Imaginary Ventures, the brand's original backer.
The company launched in 2025 and entered Sephora in 2026. That retail placement now anchors its growth thesis. The new capital will fund five stated priorities: the skin prep category, retail and ecommerce growth, expanded Sephora momentum, team expansion, and a stronger TikTok Shop presence. A further line item covers skin care-make-up hybrid innovation.
For buyers and category managers, the signal is straightforward. Skin prep — the layer between treatment and make-up application — is attracting institutional money, and POV Beauty intends to own it.
What does the money buy?
The brand's shelf tells the story. Its hero products carry short, imperative names: Drench It, Glaze It, Whip It, Drip It and Chill It, alongside the Snatch It and Amp It franchises. All sit in the prep segment rather than traditional treatment or colour.
Silas Capital Partner Brian Thorne framed the investment thesis around that positioning. "POV Beauty represents a rare and powerful intersection of unparalleled digital community insight and intuitive, high-performance physical products," he said.
He added: "Mikayla and Ani have built a brand that truly listens to its consumers, delivering make-up-gripping solutions that address real white space in the market. Following their unprecedented launch at Sephora, the brand's overwhelming momentum made it clear they are poised to lead the skin prep category."
The phrase "make-up-gripping" matters here. It marks the functional claim — prepping skin so foundation adheres better — that separates skin prep from generic moisturiser. Formulators should expect competitors to push grip, wear-time and hybrid claims harder as this capital deploys.
How central is the founder community?
Nogueira built her audience before the brand, and the funding announcement keeps that sequence explicit.
"Our community drives POV Beauty and this investment is about honouring that community by dreaming even bigger," she said. "It allows us to grow our ecosystem and continue creating the clinically tested, game-changing prep products our community deserves, proving that when you put your audience first, the possibilities are truly endless."
Two words carry weight in that statement. "Clinically tested" signals substantiation work already in place — a compliance detail that larger, faster-scaling rivals cannot skip. "Ecosystem" signals retail plus content plus commerce, with TikTok Shop named as a specific investment target.
RÉDO Capital co-founder and managing partner Lusa Zhou endorsed the founding pair directly: "Ani and Mikayla are two exceptional women with complementary strengths and an uncommon understanding of their community, consumers and beauty, and we are delighted to be in their corner at such an important moment in their journey."
Zhou also confirmed the investor syndicate intends to work together: "We look forward to working alongside Silas Capital and Imaginary Ventures to support POV Beauty as it continues to dream bigger."
Why the structure of the deal matters
Three investors, three roles. Silas Capital leads, which typically means board presence and operational cadence. RÉDO Capital enters as a new growth cheque, adding scale capital after the Series A threshold. Imaginary Ventures re-ups, which signals the earliest investor still sees upside at the new valuation.
For procurement teams and Sephora buyers, the practical reading is this: a funded brand with a two-investor syndicate behind it will push shelf expansion, TikTok Shop volume and hybrid product launches on a shortened clock.
For competing formulators, the pressure point is the hybrid claim space — products that prep and perform — where POV Beauty has now budgeted dedicated R&D money. Expect grip-adjacent INCI innovation and crossover textures to accelerate across the category.
The next data point to watch: how quickly the brand converts Series A capital into new hybrid SKUs and deeper Sephora distribution through the remainder of its first retail year.
